LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 26: Rapper Nicki Minaj (L) and singer Justin Bieber speak onstage during the BET Awards '11 held at the Shrine Auditorium on June 26, 2011 in Los Angeles, California.
Justin Bieber is 9 years younger than Nicki Minaj but held his own with the rapper at the 2011 BET awards. Their appearance together was a little risque.
The 2011 Black Entertainment Awards (BET) were presented at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday June 26 and the awards show featured a host of great performers, some entertaining via song and some as presenters. Justin Bieber didn't sing but did flirt - with Nicki Minaj. Sort of.
The 17-year-old pop singer and the 26-year-old rapper Minaj, he hails from Stratford, Canada, she's from Queens in New York via Trinidad and Tobago, performed in a brief sketch together on the televised show. The sketch may have been a little risque considering Bieber's youth, and the youth of his fans. Did it go too far? You be the judge.
Bieber and Minaj: My Fans Better Than Your Fans
The two, up against one another at last year's BET Awards for Best New Artist (Minaj won) were on stage at the 2011 show to present the award for best male hip-hop artist and each brought a group of their own fans - or hired extras - onstage with them. Before announcing the winner Bieber and Minaj got into a mock quarrel over whose fans were the best.
"My fans are the absolute best," Minaj boasted.
"Your fans are cool Nicki, but my fans are true believers," Bieber told her.

"I'm all grown up now. Next year I'll be 18. So what's up?"
"Justin, do you drive?" she asked. He told her he did and this is where things got a little risque. "Can you handle curves?" she asked. The camera looked moved in a little closer to Minaj, who is somewhat known for being rather curvaceous. Bieber boldly replied he could handle curves, the meaning being he could handle...well, never mind. They then went on to announce winner Kanye West.

Getting ready to get on stage with my girl @nickiminaj... Proud of @chrisbrown @officialjaden @officialwillow @nickiminaj and all my friends that won tonight. #supportyourfriends."
Chris Brown was the big winner on the night, winning four awards, including Video of the Year for Look at Me Now. In the days preceding the show Bieber had said he was going to support his "homey" Drake as Drake, who won a the 2010 best male hip-hop artist award, is also a Canadian. This year Drake won the Viewer's Choice award for What's My Name.
While Drake did, Bieber did not sing at the 2011 BET Awards.
